Project 4

For this project we had to use the fruity filter and the XY controller. I started my piece with a FPC file with a basic drum beat and the regular 3xOSC. I had these two sounds alone to really start up the song. I did this because it would have sounded wrong if I jumped right into a whole bunch of sounds. Next I added a different type of 3xOSC to add to the song, it is called Quiet. I also added the BassDeepSaw for lower notes. I used the Basic two and Basic four chop for these. I then added the pure base sound to support the first 3xOsc. Next, I added another fpc to try to get the song more up beat (i'm not sure it worked very well though). Finally, I copied the same pattern as before only using the Notched String 2 3xOcs and the changing bass. I used the fruity filter to change the 3xOsc to waver a little more. I used the XY controller to make the Changing bass to stand out more. In the end I had it all fade out. Enjoy!

Project 3

For this project we had to make/use an automatin clip, have the loop fade out, and use a filter. I started out with the Bells SimSynth, I chopped it and set it to the trance dreamer number 5. I chose this because I wanted a soft yet upbeat sound and the bells were perfect! Then I added the hip kick drum number 5 because I still wanted a soft sound but the loop neede a drum. Next I added another SimSynth, a Deep Bass this time. This I think balances out the high sound of the bells. I wanted the Bass to stand out so I gave it its own beat in the scond patteren instead of haveing it match the bells like in the first. I tried not to make it too busy. Also for the second pattern I transposed the bells so they had a higher sound and changed the drum to the regular kick drum. Throughout the song I just go back and forth between the two patterns. I think in the end all of these suonds came out well together. For the automation, I first used the cut envolope on the base and later used the emphasis envelope on it as well. I think it sounds relatively good, I could really think of any other way to use the autmation clip. I first tried it on the bells, but the sound was not very good and didn't gor well with the rest of the loop so I switched it to the bass. Last, but not least I made/used another autmation clip on the master volunme to fade out. I hope you enjoy my project!

Project 2

For this project i had to transpose, use an FPC and the Chop tool. I used the Bass Sim Synth because it had a nice sound. For my FPC I just used a standard drum kit and the sound was perfect, despite the fact that it was so simple. My fill has to be my favorite part of the song. I used the chop tool on the Bass Sin Synth, and I just loved the sound. I changed my FPC to a more up beat drum beat and I think it really added to the song. It sounds just so . . .interesting. I changed the pattern of the Bass Sim Synth and the drum loop again so the same thing didn't play over and over again. I changed it slightly, but I think the difference is heard. I added the fill again to transition into the more transposed part of the loop. I keep the same pattern for the first part of this but I added a softer, piano-ish sound (its the 3XOSC but i don't exactly know what it is, so i just described it instead). The next part I transposed from the pattern before to a higher pitch. then I transposed again back to the lower pitch. All of these run for two measures. I did this because having them play out the usually 3 measures would have been too long and the sounds would be going on and on until the listener got bored of them. Finally, I got rid of the FPC and kept only the Bass Sim Synth and the 3XOSC. I trasposed the 3XOSC to a highe pitch as well. I used the master volume to then gradually fade out. I hope you enjoy my project!
